iGUANEYE founder and designer Oliver Taco came across a tradition of the early Amazonians who dipped their feet in liquid rubber to move faster and more protected on forest floors. He designed iGUANEYE minimalist shoes to provide comfort and protection while stripping back all unnecessary parts of common shoes. As a study in Science Direct recently stated, “footwear design should focus on finding the balance between ensuring that the foot will be protected by the shoe whilst allowing for natural foot motion and structure to be maintained."
