NikWax TX.Direct Wash-In adds durable water repellency to and revives breathability in wet weather clothing and equipment.

Breathable waterproof garments can start soaking up water when the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) is compromised by dirt or laundry detergent, or simply wears off through extended use. Dirt attracts water and household detergents leave water-attracting (hydrophilic) residues, leading to fabric 'wetting out' in wet or damp conditions. If the outer fabric absorbs water, the garment can lose up to 70% of its breathability. Therefore, the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) on the outer fabric must be maintained to ensure comfort.

NikWax TX.Direct Wash-In will:

Add Durable Water Repellency (DWR) - optimises performance in wet weather
Maintain breathability - leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual fibres, allowing moisture vapour to pass through
Treat entire garment - including seams, tapes, cords and fabric, thanks to the washing machine application.

Nikwax TX.Direct Wash-In is the market leader. It is easy and quick to apply in a washing machine and its highly Durable Water Repellency (DWR) develops on air drying. As the need for tumble drying is removed, this saves energy and protects more vulnerable, older, garments from heat.

HOW TO USE

Do not use detergents.

Remove all non-washable parts
Always clean first with NikWax Tech Wash in a separate wash cycle - no need to dry before waterproofing
Remove all detergent build up from your washing machine's detergent dispenser
Place maximum of 2 clean garments in washing machine
Use 100mL per garment
Run 30°C synthetic cycle and slow spin.

Do not machine-wash garments if taped seams have become dislodged.
