NikWax Tent and Gear Solar Proof adds durable water repellency (DWR) to tents and outdoor equipment, and also protects against UV deterioration.

Synthetic fabrics used for tents and rucksacks are coated with a water repellent treatment. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light both destroys the water repellency and leads to a reduction in fabric tear strength, significantly shortening the lifespan of equipment.

NikWax Tent and Gear Solar Proof will:

Add Durable Water Repellency (DWR) - to the maximum testable standard
Add ultraviolet (UV) protection - to inhibit reduction of fabric tear strength caused by UV rays
Potentially doubles the useful life of your gear - after just one application.

Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof can be applied to wet or dry synthetic fabrics. It is non-flammable, contains no harmful solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and is completely fluorocarbon free.

HOW TO USE

Clean first with NikWax Tent and Gear SolarWash - no need to dry before waterproofing
Protect working surface
Lay clean, wet item flat, or erect tent and wet
Spray evenly to outside of fabric using approximately 50mL of product per 1m2 of fabric - avoid rucksack straps
Wait for 2 minutes
Remove any surplus product with a damp cloth
Check carefully to ensure no areas have been missed

Marks may appear on fabric if excess product is not wiped away. Test on a hidden area first.
