NikWax Cotton Proof adds durable water repellency to cotton, polycotton and canvas apparel and gear, reducing their weight gain and maintaining their breathability in wet conditions. It's easy, high-performance and safe to use: just pop your gear in a wash with this DWR!

Once cotton gets wet, it stays wet - and therefore becomes heavier and less breathable. Cotton is a highly absorbent fabric and easily retains water, so it takes a long time to dry once wet. Therefore, it is important to waterproof cotton outer garments and equipment. To prevent cotton fabrics from absorbing water, Durable Water Repellency (DWR) can be added by applying Nikwax Cotton Proof.

NikWax Cotton Proof is:

• Water resistant via Durable Water Repellency (DWR) - protects against rain and condensation, optimising performance in wet weather
• Breathable - leaves a flexible water repellent treatment on individual cotton filaments and fabric fibers, allowing moisture vapor (sweat) to pass through
• Safe to use - NikWax waterproofing products are water-based, non-aerosol, non-flammable, non-hazardous and environmentally friendly with no harmful solvents, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), or fluorocarbons
• Quick and easy to apply - simply add to a washing machine for the treatment to go right through the garment and the DWR to develop on air drying.

HOW TO USE

• Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser
• Place clean items(s) in washing machine (maximum 3 items)
• Shake bottle well before using
• Use 50ml for 1 item, 100ml for 2 items and 150ml for 3 items
• Wash according to care label instructions
• Allow to air dry before use

For best results always clean item(s) first with Nikwax Tech Wash in a separate wash cycle.
No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing.
