NikWax TX.Direct Spray-On provides spray-on waterproofing for wet weather clothing and equipment.

Breathable waterproof garments can start soaking up water when the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) is compromised by dirt or laundry detergent, or simply wears off through extended use. Dirt attracts water and household detergents leave water-attracting (hydrophilic) residues, leading to fabric 'wetting out' in wet or damp conditions. If the outer fabric absorbs water, the garment can lose up to 70% of its breathability. Therefore, the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) on the outer fabric must be maintained to ensure comfort.

NikWax TX.Direct Spray-On will:

Add Durable Water Repellency (DWR) - optimises performance in wet weather
Maintain breathability - will not compromise the properties of internal wicking liners
Directly treat areas which require it most - for example elbows and seams on jackets.

NikWax TX.Direct Spray-On is non-flammable, contains no harmful solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and is compeltely free of fluorocarbons.

HOW TO USE

Remove all non-washable parts
Always clean first with NikWax Tech Wash in a separate wash cycle - no need to dry before waterproofing
Protect working surface and lay clean, wet, fastened garment flat
Hold bottle 15cm away from garment and apply evenly to outside of fabric
Wait for 2 minutes, checking carefully to ensure no areas have been missed
Remove any surplus with a damp cloth
Air dry - or tumble dry on a low setting if care label allows.
