The Xero Mesa Trail II women’s shoes are lightweight trail shoes, perfect for runners who want to feel the ground beneath their feet but need that extra bit of protection.
Compare your insole length to the guide below. To find your insole length, measure your foot and add 1.5cm for a regular fit, 1cm for a snug fit or 2cm for a looser fit. If you are between sizes we recommend going for the larger size.
To measure your foot most accurately, stand on a tape measure with your heel against a wall. While standing up and looking over your foot, read the measurement at the end of your longest toe. Remember to measure both feet and use the measurement of your longer foot. Find out more here.
"Insole cm" is our in-store measurements of the shoe's insole."Brand cm" is the insole length the brand has given us, which is what you'll find on the box or on the brand's website.Our shoes are measured with the same method each time, so use the "Insole cm" column to get an accurate size you can compare across brands.

All this information is compiled so you can simply enter the length of your foot in centimetres, choose your preferred fit, and our calculator will recommend a size for you! Wonderful! Pamela, 27 February 2024 I read Born to Run 1 & 2 then watched all the ZERO owners You Tube Videos on why Barefoot Running is best and realised I need to look after my body better for longevity! Note: I have been a competitive runner for over 45 yrs and run/race road in old low profile Nike Racing Flats and trail in Cloud Venture Peak's but both still have a padded heel drop. Casual shoes are mostly Merrell Vapour Gloves but needed to slowly adapt to Barefoot Running Shoes. I bought these MESA TRAIL 11's last week and ordered my usual running shoe size USW9, too long, so returned them and got a size USW81/2 with 1/2 inch out the front. Ran around on carpet for a time to really feel the fit. Note: I have a narrow foot. They are neutral and have no arch support, thank goodness as you need your arch to grip and to work like a muscle! Love them, have no trouble with the innersole like the other reviewer. Ran through a creek and drained great. Ran on a damp trail and good grip as much as anything else! You can feel the trail minimally but this is great for getting the mind body awareness. Will buy the Road Zelen next! Definetly a convert....looking at the sandals now too! I can feel my feet trying to adjust. They are very lightweight. My advice is to make sure that you choose the right size. Try them on first, walk around, and go up and down the stairs in the store before deciding which size is the right fit for your foot. It will feel a lot more freeing than normal. You can loosen and tighten if needed. I went hiking today in them. I found them light to walk in, but my feet also feel supported. Quality: Value for Money: Fit: Overall Rating:

Good grip, but a few gripes! Kath, 2 March 2023 Having worn Viviobarefoot for years, I thought I'd give these a go. Good, grippy sole, well constructed, flexible and breathes well. Although advice for these seems to be go up half a size, I found doing that made them feel a bit loose without a thick sock (which I don't ususally wear).
