Compare your insole length to the guide below. To find your insole length, measure your foot and add 1.5cm for a regular fit, 1cm for a snug fit or 2cm for a looser fit. If you are between sizes we recommend going for the larger size.
To measure your foot most accurately, stand on a tape measure with your heel against a wall. While standing up and looking over your foot, read the measurement at the end of your longest toe. Remember to measure both feet and use the measurement of your longer foot. Find out more here.
"Insole cm" is our in-store measurements of the shoe's insole."Brand cm" is the insole length the brand has given us, which is what you'll find on the box or on the brand's website. Our shoes are measured with the same method each time, so use the "Insole cm" column to get an accurate size you can compare across brands.

The Right Shoe Project
Shoes are made in many factories around the world and even models within the same brand can be quite different. To assist our customers in choosing the right size, we measure every shoe we receive. All this information is compiled so you can simply enter the length of your foot in centimetres, choose your preferred fit, and our calculator will recommend a size for you! Then, as you browse the website across various brands and models of shoes, we will provide a recommendation of your sizing in each model.
Still not sure? If you're in Brisbane, feel free to come in to our store in Milton for a fitting. Otherwise, you can contact our team for assistance and advice. If you would like to contribute to helping other customers please contact us with your shoe size, foot length and how well your shoes fit.

Agree too narrow and low cut up front Dennis, 17 July 2024 I’m an Inov buyer and bought heaps of 250’s which had no probs with width. The 300’s have a pointy toe box and narrow forefoot. Don’t like returning shoes so I cut and patched the toe box and forefoot to make em work. It looks ugly but got them running OK. Been down the road of Altra lone peaks and did not like the arch and lateral support humps and bumps. I’m pure neutral in every way. Quality: Value for Money: Fit: Overall Rating: Response from Wildfire Team Hi Dennis, Thank you for your feedback. This shoe is marketed by Inov-8 as wide, but we've updated our listings now based on your experiences. Sorry to hear about the issues you had getting a wider fit from them, hope you have them working for you now. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

A miss David, 9 March 2022 Shoe fit is obviously completely subjective but the G300 max is sold as a "wide fit". It's not. I should have returned them immediately, but was sold on the marketing hype and thought I'd give them a few runs. The forefoot shape is euro-style narrow, and there's not even much overall toe box volume. With this kind of stack height, you also had better be blessed with perfect gait because stability is compromised; made worse by the narrow forefoot. It is a good transition shoe (feels pretty good on the road for example) but who wants to own the weight penalty for that over better shoes in that category? Graphene... mmmm. I am guessing it may ultimately make for a more durable outsole. The price you pay for a less tacky material is less grip on rock. For muddy, loamy conditions, these shoes would be great. For a lot of Australian conditions (loose rock more than mud), I'd suggest the grip is only so-so at best. Two star. I used to love Inov-8 shoes. The fit in recent years has become restrictive and the upper materials offer less mid foot support than competing shoes. At this price, you expect something great. Unfortunately why're only average at best. If the foot shape works for you, and you love the brand, I'd go for the 270s over these. Wildfire are great. Good prices, good service and their $3 'try two' is a fantastic program. Use it for these shoes. Quality: Value for Money: Fit: Overall Rating: Response from Wildfire Team Hi David, Very sorry to hear you weren't happy with the fit of your new Trailflys! This model is Inov-8's '5' width, the widest they offer at the moment. We've found '5' width shoes to be wider than standard runners, but closer to a 2E rather than extra wide 4E for men. For a wider fit, I would recommend considering an Altra Lone Peak or similar. We're happy to provide assistance with fit via email or phone should you need it, and of course a free exchange if you're not happy with a shoe prior to wearing it outside. Warm Regards, Wildfire Team
