The Vivobarefoot Primus Trail Knit FG Grounding shoe combines a flexible knit upper with a conductive insole and firm ground outsole to support natural foot movement, electrical earthing, and reliable off-road traction.
Why are some colours and sizes different prices?
Compare your insole length to the guide below. To find your insole length, measure your foot and add 1.5cm for a regular fit, 1cm for a snug fit or 2cm for a looser fit. If you are between sizes we recommend going for the larger size.
To measure your foot most accurately, stand on a tape measure with your heel against a wall. While standing up and looking over your foot, read the measurement at the end of your longest toe. Remember to measure both feet and use the measurement of your longer foot. Find out more here.
"Insole cm" is our in-store measurements of the shoe's insole. "Brand cm" is the insole length the brand has given us, which is what you'll find on the box or on the brand's website. Our shoes are measured with the same method each time, so use the "Insole cm" column to get an accurate size you can compare across brands.

The Vivobarefoot Primus Trail Knit FG Grounding Women’s Shoes is the modern evolution of the brand's original, best-selling Primus Trail FG trail runner, crafted to elevate your natural movement on mixed terrain. It earns the grounding name because it is constructed with specialised conductive materials, specifically a removable conductive insole and a conductive Firm Ground outsole that establish a direct physical pathway for electrons to flow between your body and the Earth's surface for a deeper connection to nature.
Featuring a breathable knit upper, this shoe allows your feet to move without restriction while blocking trail debris from getting inside. The thin Firm Ground outsole combines a 3mm sole base with a 4mm tread depth to balance multi-terrain grip with barefoot sensory feedback, engaging the thousands of nerve endings in your feet to improve your coordination, balance, and agility. Built with a foot-shaped fit, it enables your toes to splay for a stable base of support while allowing your foot muscles and tendons to load and recoil naturally, helping you build foot strength over time.
Whether you are running off-road or enhancing your everyday foot health, this shoe keeps you grounded and moving with natural skill.
