Excellent for rocky trails and gravel roads

I developed Morton's neuroma and needed protection from stones (mixed grade NZ trails). Primus Trail FG sole is noticeably harder and more rigid than my other Vivo Forest ESC soles, and despite having much shallower tread they provide far better shield from sharp intrusions. The neck of the shoe is padded, with good structure, and effectively keeps the foot in place while hiking downhill. The Primus Trail FG would be great for somebody new to barefooting who needs slightly more 'shoelike' shoe. The only thing I dislike are drawstring laces, which are difficult to micro-adjust and seem to come slightly loose. Overall I am extremely impressed with these well-executed shoes, I highly recommend them especially as an introduction to barefoot shoes.
