Fill a wide-mouth container with clear water, click the button once for 1 litre or twice for 0.5 litre, and submerge the lamp. Gently stir until a flashing green LED light signals the treatment is successful. It takes 48 seconds for 0.5 litres and 90 seconds for 1 litre.
No, it only works with clear or tap water. If the water contains silt, debris or tannins, the UV rays will be blocked. Pre-filtering is recommended for murky or sediment-containing water.
