Get ready for your next outdoor adventure with a versatile trail companion. The Teva Hurricane XLT3 CT Men’s Sandals are third-generation extra-light technology (XLT3) closed-toe (CT) sandals that are built to deliver durable, trail-ready performance for all-day wear and light to mid-level trail hiking.

As you navigate uneven terrain, the quick-dry mesh upper utilises specialised vents to promote breathability and airflow, while the protective closed-toe design shields your feet from trail debris. Achieving a secure fit is straightforward with the integrated bungee lace system, which works alongside FuseLock hook-and-loop technology to provide a closure that is twice as strong as traditional options.

Beneath your foot, a stabilising nylon shank supports your step, while the updated Spider Rubber Endure outsole and toothy lug pattern deliver enhanced traction and stability on unpredictable paths.

You are also stepping into eco-conscious comfort with a cushioned topsole containing recycled EVA, boasting 5mm more foam padding than the previous XLT2 model and sustainable straps crafted from 100% REPREVE recycled polyester.

What’s New?

  • Topsole Upgrade: 5mm more of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) foam padding compared to the previous XLT2 model, delivering enhanced step-in comfort.
  • Updated Spider Rubber Endure Outsole and Toothy Lug Pattern: Specifically updated to provide enhanced traction and stability across unpredictable terrain.

Key Features:

  • Weight: At 425g per shoe (size 9 USM) to keep your feet feeling light and minimise fatigue during extended wear.
  • Breathable Mesh Upper: Designed with specialised ventilation channels that maximise airflow and accelerate drying times after water contact.
  • Bungee Lace Closure: Offers effortless, micro-adjustable fit changes and easy entry or exit on the go.
  • FuseLock Hook-and-Loop Technology: Delivers a more secure and durable closure by offering twice the holding strength of traditional fastener options.
  • Closed-Toe Trail Design: A protective closed-toe front to shield your feet from loose debris while you hike.
  • Stabilising Nylon Shank: Supports your arches and preserves structural stability when walking on uneven ground.
  • REPREVE Recycled Polyester Straps: Built from 100% recycled plastic materials to deliver heavy-duty durability with an environmentally friendly footprint.
Yes. While the wide outer lugs of Hurricane XLT3 CT are optimised for flat, smooth surfaces, the central tread is designed with angled and serrated lugs specifically intended to dig into dirt for steeper ascents and descents.
No. According to laboratory abrasion tests by RunRepeat, the upgraded Spider Rubber Endure compound in Hurricane XLT3 CT loses only 0.7 mm of rubber under extreme friction testing. This low wear rate ensures that the 3.0 mm lugs preserve their multi-terrain traction profile even if used frequently for urban commuting or paved approaches.
No. In Hurricane XLT3 CT, the materials, including the REPREVE polyester straps, the EVA midsole, and the industrial-grade marine adhesives, are highly resistant to saltwater corrosion. However, to maximise the lifespan of the shoe and prevent salt crystals from stiffening the mesh, it is highly recommended to rinse them thoroughly with fresh water after ocean use.
