The new On Cloud 5, has increased comfort and stability due to an updated Cloud Tec sole and an increased midsole. On Running live up to their trademark soft landing in this lifestyle shoe, with added features targeted at urban explorers, road runners, and workers on their feet all day. On Running have engineered this shoe out of 44% recycled materials overall, making it more sustainable than ever. 

What’s new?

• Updated could tec sole - the Cloud Pods now have their inner edges sealed so that small stones and debris don’t get stuck inside, as well as a decrease in the depth of the gulley, providing more stability and an even softer landing than before.
• Increased midsole - the whole shoe sits marginally higher off the ground to allow for more cushioning in the midsole. This extends the life of the cushioning and means the shoes remain comfortable even when working on your feet, or walking, all-day.
• 8mm drop - 2mm more than the original cloud, making it even more comfortable for those who spend all day on foot, whether that be working retail, road running, gym work or urban adventures.

The On Cloud 5 features:

• Speed laces - allow the user to slip the shoes on and off easily, however for those who prefer them, standard laces are in the box as well.
• Inner sock - this attaches the tongue to the forefoot and has been engineered to reduce seams and therefore chafing in the shoe.
• Slimmer tongue - the refined tongue is smaller and smoother, with reduces seems it increases the comfort of the shoe, especially for those looking to wear without socks.
• Cloudtec sole - aside from updates based on consumer response, the new cloud retains the same individual Cloud pods made from Zero-Gravity EVA foam. Each pod moves individually, responding to your natural gait to deliver superior performance and soft landings . The grooves between the pods allow for extreme flexibility and a natural range of motion.
• Breathable mesh upper - contains anti-microbial properties as well as allowing air flow through the shoe, so they can be worn all day, everyday, with no overheating or off-putting smell.
• Reflective detailing - on both sides of the shoe towards the heel there are strips of reflective material for your safety when running in darker conditions
