What could be nicer than going for a run on a Friday evening in May in Brisbane.   With lots of options from relays to 100km this suits event any serious runner. Australian Orienteering Championships September 2025

Qld will be hosting the Australian Orienteering Championships for the first time in 8 years. Nearly 1000 people are expected to run in the local forests and sprint orienteering in iconic locations such as The University of Queensland.  Wildfire Sports is again proud to be involved with the event and organisation.

Gotta love anyone happy to paddle, run, cycle and swim their way to victory.  Wildfire Sports was stoked to be involved again with the Raid Series of events organised by Liam St Pierre.

QUT Classic

An annual all-inclusive run that supports the QUT Learning Potential Fund, which helps to provide scholarships and opportunities for low-income students to attend university.

In 2019, Wildfire sponsored the QUT Classic Wildfire 1km Run that was tailored for kids and families. We provided a free gift for all participants in the 1km event in 2019, and gave free ASICS and Saucony kids' shoes away to the race winners.

In 2024, we are sponsoring with prizes for winners.

Wildfire Raid

Queensland's premier 'sprint-length' adventure race, with 3 or 6 hour course options. Teams must navigate the course using a map and compass on a route of their own choice, attempting to collect as many or as few checkpoints as they wish, while trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and even completing a few mystery disciplines.

We've sponsored the Wildfire Raid since its inception - hence the name! 2024 marks the 7th year of this unique event.

Ipswich and District Athletic Club Inc.

The goal of the Ipswich and District Athletic Club is to provide well guided training and personal development for all ages to enhance athletic skills within a caring and friendly environment, thus providing a recognisable leadership within the sports community of Ipswich and District.

Their 41st Annual Winter Carnival is to be held on Sunday 18th August 2024 and Wildfire is a proud sponsor!

NOL Series

The National Orienteering League, known as NOL, is Australia's premier elite domestic competition, with 3-4 rounds held in the Autumn season. It is primarily a team competition with individuals racing to gain points for their state team. It also provides a great opportunity to socialise with those from other state teams, continuing and building new friendships from junior years.

Wildfire provided prizes for the 2024 NOL series.

Untamed Border Run

This trail running/walking/skipping event takes place in the glorious hills of the Southern Downs and Tenterfield regions, beginning at the Killarney showgrounds. Competitors can choose from 50km, 21km and 10km courses, all of which include spectacular views from normally not accessible locations. Both the inaugural event in 2023 and the 2024 event were hugely successful.

Scouts Victoria Monster Raffle

The Scouts and Schools Monster Raffle is back in 2024! Over its 18-year history, the raffle has raised money and awareness for scouts, schools and community groups.

Wildfire is a prize contributor for the 2024 raffle.

ANZAC Day Criterium Relay

In the spirit of mateship, the annual relay around Nundah is a short, fun team event you can participate in with 2-4 friends and support the Heart Foundation. The challenge: complete as many laps on the 1.2km course as your team can in 90 minutes.

Mount Glorious Mountain Trails

Organised by the Trail Running Association of Queensland (TRAQ), this is a tough and beautiful 22km run with 1200m of climb and 650m of descent. The race leads from Cedar Flats via the top of Northbrook Mountain and England Creek to the rainforest at the top of Mount Glorious, finishing at the clearing opposite the Maiala picnic area.

River Run 100

River Run 100 was established in 2013 as an event to raise money and awareness for cancer. River Run 100 is held along the beautiful Brisbane River and caters to a wide range of participants as they offer 5k, 10k, half marathon, marathon and a 7 hour enduro event. Wildfire Sports were proud to sponsor River River 100 in 2023 with prizes, freebies, prize money and hosting the River Run 100 crew in store so participants could pick up their race packs ahead of the event. We loved being involved with an event that does so much for the community, looking forward to the next River Run 100.

The Urban Rogue

Established in 2013, the Urban Rogue is an annual 3-hour metrogaine held against the Friday night lights of Brisbane's CBD. Teams of up to 5 compete to navigate around the city and collect as many checkpoints as possible. The event aligns with the cooler summer temperatures and is open to any level of athlete.

Cooroy Mountain Park - Dash for Cash

The Cooroy Mountain Park- Dash for Cash is a 5km trail run for runners of all abilities. With a combination of single track, cross country and some paths, it’s a well varied course with an elevation of 289m. Located a 30 minute drive out of Noosa, the view from the turn around point at the Cooroy Mountain Park Lodge provides a great panorama of the surrounding Sunshine Coast. 
Wildfire has supplied prizes since 2022.

Wondai Country Running Festival

Located 3 and a half hours north-west of Brisbane, Wondai is a small rural town which will be hosting the Country Running Festival, combining small town hospitality and physical activity. In addition to the marathon, half marathon, 10km, dash-for-cash, family fun run and an all-abilities race, there will also be two forest trail runs; 21.1km and 11.1km. A family-friendly weekend with market and food stalls, rides, live music, plus displays at the timber museum and Wondai Art Gallery.   

Wildfire has continued to supply prizes since the 2022 festival.

Running Heroes

Running Heroes is an app and large community of runners, offering amazing prizes and rewards for pushing yourself and running just that little bit further. Join their community and earn rewards for running today! Wildfire runs challenges on Running Heroes, as well as offering select discounts to unlock with your reward points.

In 2020, we challenged the Heroes to run 30km total on trails in 3 weeks. Almost 1,500 runners completed the challenge, and we gave away over $1,000 in prizes to four lucky winners.

In 2021, we set the challenge to run 4x 8km in 2 weeks. The Heroes rose to the challenge, with over 1,200 finishers. Eleven winners received vouchers and gift packs worth over $100 each.

Weipa Running Festival

The Weipa Running Festival is held in the coastal township of Weipa in far north Queensland and hosts 5 different races; marathon, half marathon, 10km, 5km and fun run. The marathon and half marathon are open to individuals and teams. An additional challenge which has proved popular is the grand slam, where all race distances are run separately.

Wildfire is proud to have sponsored the festival since 2021, supplying a number of prizes for category winners.

Cystic Fibrosis Queensland - Sporting Heroes of the Month

CF Queensland is a local charity which runs a number of programs aimed at improving the lives of Queenslanders with cystic fibrosis, a condition which impacts lung function - making staying active that much harder!

Wildfire is a sponsor of CF Queensland's Sporting Hero of the Month program, which celebrates children with CF who use sports as a regular physical activity.

QLD Open/Masters Boulder Titles (Sport Climbing Australia)

The QLD Open Boulder Titles are held to determine the QLD Open and Masters bouldering champions, and is the qualifying event for the Open National Championships.

Wildfire sponsored the event in 2021 and offered 1 major prize, plus a pile of lucky door prizes on the day.
