The curved GlideRoll Rocker shape gently rolls your foot forward, like the running shoe is doing some of the heavy lifting for you. It works in harmony with the low 6mm drop and according to Brooks, “actively assists heel-to-toe transitions to help your movements feel effortless”.

Although both feature nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3, the Brooks Ghost Max 4 offers a firmer feel so you don’t have to fight the cushioning to glide forward. Some runners also find that the Brooks Ghost Max 4 offers a sleeker upper fit.
