A lightweight, waterproof, low-cut hiking shoe featuring a leather upper with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit lining, Vibram Megagrip outsole, and maximum cushioning for stability and comfort on varied terrain.
Why are some colours and sizes different prices?
Compare your insole length to the guide below. To find your insole length, measure your foot and add 1.5cm for a regular fit, 1cm for a snug fit or 2cm for a looser fit. If you are between sizes we recommend going for the larger size.
To measure your foot most accurately, stand on a tape measure with your heel against a wall. While standing up and looking over your foot, read the measurement at the end of your longest toe. Remember to measure both feet and use the measurement of your longer foot. Find out more here.
"Insole cm" is our in-store measurements of the shoe's insole."Brand cm" is the insole length the brand has given us, which is what you'll find on the box or on the brand's website. Our shoes are measured with the same method each time, so use the "Insole cm" column to get an accurate size you can compare across brands.

Heavy shoe .. one shoe, extremely Uncomfortable. Jay, 22 October 2026 .i got half a size up like my previous shoes Olympus 5 which were very comfortable .My Heel on these Olympus 6 slide upwards constantly . No padding on the Gore-tex version . No more xtra support My right shoe is very uncomfortable. Making my foot feel like it’s rolling outwards . Giving me an extremely unpleasant hiking experience .. The Olympus 6 is not as wide as the Olympus 5 and heavier and not as springy .. dead weight Quality: Value for Money: Fit: Fit Tips: This shoe is true to size , Overall Rating: Response from Wildfire Team You're correct. The Olympus 6 features several improvements over the Olympus 5. Altra has addressed concerns with the previous model's upper mesh tearing by using more durable materials. The main updates focus on improved upper structure, heel lockdown and internal stability. Although the underfoot platform remains largely unchanged, the more structured upper makes the Olympus 6 feel firmer/less flexible and slightly heavier than its predecessor.
