I wanted to like them. I don't have a wide foot but these shoes a pretty tight, I wouldnt go running in them they would be too restrictive. Bought a pair and sent them back. Bought a full size up and sent that pair back also. Went with advice to buy Altra hope that's better. Needed to use a different store to get them as my size many had run out but I have a family member that can use the store credit so that's ok.

Hi there! The Scarpa range generally fits true to size with a standard even narrow shape, so those with wider feet may find them too snug. It is important to note that the Golden Gate has a sock-like upper that provides a secure, close-fitting feel, one of the shoe's standout features. As a result, it is generally advisable to go up by half a size, or even a full size if you prefer a roomier fit. It's a great option for runners with standard or more narrow feet who are looking for comfort and a confident foothold on the trail.

Haven't run on the pair yet but I feel the lightness and snug but perfect fit that I never have before as most are a bit bulky, perhaps, a slight downsize may be the best for me from now on.
