The Lasting Merino Unisex Lightweight Quarter Socks are thin elasticated socks intended for everyday use, made from a Merino wool blend.

These socks feature:

Two layer knitted fabric - for excellent durability and comfort
Super-fine 16.5 micron wool - the finest merino wool that breeding farms currently produce. It eliminates the itchy, scratchy feeling common to thicker wool. For comparison, human hair has a diameter of 100 microns
Thermoregulation - the many tiny air bags between merino wool fibres creates a microclimate, helping to regulate your body temperature so you don't get too hot or too cold
Antibacterial properties - the unique natural consistency of wool fibres (90% keratin protein) does not support bacterial growth; as a result, your merino wool clothing won't smell bad as quickly and you will not have to wash them as often
Breathable moisture elimination - super-fine merino wool is a natural hollow fibre that has high-grade permeability for excellent moisture elimination. The surface of the wool fibre is hydrophobic, repelling sweat and evaporating the moisture quickly, since wool is breathable even when worn under layers thanks to its irregular surface. If the wool fabric does get damp, it can hold up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp or clammy
MULESING FREE certified yarn - mulesing is the removal of strips of wool-bearing skin around the buttocks to prevent the parasitic infection flystrike. Many animal welfare groups oppose this controversial practice. Lasting Merino's wool is certified mulesing free.
