Bought these shoes to walk the Camino. After about 200km of training walks, before I got to the Camino, the lugs on the bottom had significantly flattened out - not what I was expecting at all. Also would have preferred to buy a shoe a half-size bigger on account of wearing thicker socks and feet swelling but HOKA doesn’t make 13.5 only 13 or 14

Thank you for sharing your experience! The Hoka Speedgoat is a comfortable, lightweight trail runner that many people use for the Camino because of its excellent cushioning and grip on dirt and gravel. However, on pavement, roads and hard packed surfaces, the aggressive lugs can wear down quickly, this is the main trade off to consider. Overall, they’re a great option for comfort for the long distances.
