The Dynafit Alpine is a trail running shoe for women that's lightweight, responsive and extremely versatile on technical terrain. It's best used for shorter, faster runs on mountainous terrain.
Compare your insole length to the guide below. To find your insole length, measure your foot and add 1.5cm for a regular fit, 1cm for a snug fit or 2cm for a looser fit. If you are between sizes we recommend going for the larger size.
To measure your foot most accurately, stand on a tape measure with your heel against a wall. While standing up and looking over your foot, read the measurement at the end of your longest toe. Remember to measure both feet and use the measurement of your longer foot. Find out more here.
"Insole cm" is our in-store measurements of the shoe's insole."Brand cm" is the insole length the brand has given us, which is what you'll find on the box or on the brand's website. Our shoes are measured with the same method each time, so use the "Insole cm" column to get an accurate size you can compare across brands.

The Right Shoe Project
Shoes are made in many factories around the world and even models within the same brand can be quite different. To assist our customers in choosing the right size, we measure every shoe we receive. All this information is compiled so you can simply enter the length of your foot in centimetres, choose your preferred fit, and our calculator will recommend a size for you! Then, as you browse the website across various brands and models of shoes, we will provide a recommendation of your sizing in each model.
Still not sure? If you're in Brisbane, feel free to come in to our store in Milton for a fitting. Otherwise, you can contact our team for assistance and advice. If you would like to contribute to helping other customers please contact us with your shoe size, foot length and how well your shoes fit.

Staff Review - Alex T
Fast, grippy, versatile, durable When I first put on the shoe, I found its fit simultaneously comfortable and odd. The relatively wide midfoot and narrow heel complimented my foot shape well, but the feel of the TPU band wrapping around my Achilles and base of heel was noticeable underfoot. (Dynafit calls this a “Heel Preloader”– designed to promote stability and a more efficient toe-off transition.) However, when I took the shoe on a few test runs (including a 90-minute spirited jaunt around a rocky island recovering from record rainfall), I was quickly impressed by its relatively light weight, flexibility, grip, and cushion. Any concerns I had about the Heel Preloader disappeared – no blisters, pressure points, or hotspots. The Vibram Megagrip outsole, despite being designed for the trails, easily offers the best traction I have ever experienced in a running shoe on wet pavement. This level of grip doesn’t stop with the roads; it proved its abilities with broken asphalt, wet grass, packed coral and rock surfaces, and compacted mud paths. The build quality is superb – no signs of damage from the 3D mesh, toe cap, outsole, or anywhere else for the matter. If you're looking for a good trail shoe that offers a high level of flexibility, grip, and durability, I highly recommend this shoe. Please note: If you are looking for your size in this shoe based on a US size, I strongly recommend going up at least a half-US-size to a whole-US-size. I went up a whole size in order to gain some toe box room, but probably could have gotten away with a half-size step up.
