The Altra Olympus 7 Mid GTX Men’s Shoes deliver maximum trail support, plush underfoot comfort, and all-weather protection for rugged hiking expeditions and technical all-terrain journeys. Built around a durable upper, this mid-cut trail shoe incorporates a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit waterproof membrane that seals out water, mud, and moisture without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.

Underfoot, the updated Altra EGO MAX midsole features a reformatted EVA foam compound that is 15% lighter and 10% softer than the previous version, absorbing heavy impact across long distances while maintaining long-lasting responsiveness. Weighing in at approximately 401g, it manages to trim weight compared to traditional mid-height hiking boots without sacrificing stability. For unyielding traction on wet, steep, or loose ground, the Vibram Megagrip outsole with Vibram TractionLug technology utilises micro-texture lugs to significantly enhance grip and surface contact. Designed around Altra's zero drop zero-tilt foundation, the boot promotes natural foot alignment by keeping the heel and forefoot at equal distance from the ground. The anatomically spacious Original FootShape design features the iconic FootShape Toe Box, letting toes spread naturally for better stability on uneven terrain. To complete the secure build, a refined moulded collar, plush tongue, and webbing loops lock the ankle comfortably in place while preventing trail debris from entering.

What’s New?

• GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Upper: Lightweight, waterproof, and breathable weather barrier bonded directly to the upper to block out moisture while preventing extra bulk.
• Refined Moulded Collar, Plush Tongue, and Webbing Loops: Pads the mid-cut ankle area for optimal hold, debris shielding, and easy lacing adjustment.
• Updated Altra EGO MAX Midsole: Plush compression-moulded EVA foam formulated to be 15% lighter and 10% softer than the previous version; high-cushion foam performance that absorbs severe impact and provides superior underfoot comfort for long-distance hikes.
• Vibram Megagrip Outsole with Vibram TractionLug: Provides aggressive multi-surface grip and stability on steep, loose, dry, or wet terrain.

Key Features:

• Lightweight: Weighs approximately 401g, offering mid-cut ankle stability and max-cushion protection without the heavy, clunky drag of traditional hiking boots.
• Zero Drop: Encourages proper posture and natural foot landing by maintaining an even profile between the heel and forefoot.
• Original FootShape Fit: Allows your toes to splay naturally for enhanced balance, power, and comfort on technical trails.
