The Scarpa Instinct VSR is a more supple version of the award-winning Instinct VS: a top-end climbing shoe that has dominated world-class routes and boulders. It has a slightly asymmetrical, downturned shape, with a medium angled toe box. It's perfect for lighter climbers on bouldering, sport climbing and technical face climbing routes.

What's new?

Floating power strap - a single Velcro strap for easy in/out and a snugger forefoot fit
Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber - for a softer, more supple fit and feel that offers a balance between edging and overhung climbing performance.

The Instinct VS-R climbing shoe also features:

Multi-panel microfibre upper - with 6 panels for the best custom moulding fit, and a deep Y attachment for secure hooking
Half-length Flexan 1mm insole - this insert spreads the force in the forefoot and allows for excellent flexibility in the rear of the shoe
Bi-Tension active randing system - tensioned rubber wrap that runs under the toes and draws back through the arch of the foot, providing great flex with subtle tension and maximum toe power
FV last - lightly asymmetrical for hard climbing
3.5mm XS Grip 2 sole - half-length, with a hand-constructed 2mm XS Grip heel and toe patch for premium toe hooking power.
